Irene trains in Cape Town and offers distance learning as well. She is a South African perinatal educator from Wits. Trained as an internationally certified childbirth educator, she marks papers as a SAQA assessor. Irene is a Registered Nurse and Midwife.

Colleen is a Registered Midwife who trained as a Doula with Irene Bourquin in Cape Town in 2013. Following that training she was inspired to train other Doulas in Gqeberha.

Training is offered in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Gqeberha and KwaZulu-Natal, with distance learning options available for those further afield.

Accredited & moderated

WOMBS exams are moderated and assessed by SAQA-registered educators, ensuring every doula meets a high, consistent professional standard.
